Welcome to the Animation and VFX Oddities section! This is where you're going to see some, shall we say, "interesting" stuff that are personal projects that don't necessarily fit in a professional setting.
"Feed Me"
Animation

Back in February, I wanted to refresh my knowledge of traditional animation in Adobe Animate, and apply what I had learned from After Effects and Premiere Pro. So I created this 15-second short of a very elongated goose asking for some seed. In total, this took a total of 8 hours of storyboarding, outlining, key animating, coloring, sound FX, and editing.
"Brain Is On Fire"
Compositing and Keying

As a weekend project to practice keying and compositing, I gave myself a prompt: "how would you visualize a common phrase that you say?" I chose a phrase I constantly use with friends and family: "my brain is on fire". I was inspired to create something similar to the "This is Fine" comic with a little tweak. In total, this took about 6 hours of recording, keying, compositing, and color-grading.
"Vinesauce Will BRB - Gonna Scoot for a Bit" Motion Graphic Twitch Animation Loop (2021)
Personal Project

Starting in February 2021, I contributed loopable animations to the Vinesauce community art board for the Twitch channel. With this particular animation, I wanted to challenge myself to use Adobe Animate, and incorporate both motion graphic and traditional animation elements into a cohesive "be right back" animation. I took inspiration from the Vinesauce memes and jokes, Twitch, Animal Crossing, and Cartoon Network Adult Swim stinger videos. Everything in this animation was created by me with After Effects and Adobe Animate in less than 24 hours, and it was featured on Vinesauce's February 16th livestream.

"Get a GREAT! BAG bag"
Meme/Social Content

For my independent docuseries, "Frames Per Second", I created this fun little clip from interview footage that didn't make it into the final cut, but wanted to use as social content. I also made it to help support the Dance Dance Revolution community organization, Black Flag Academy, in driving traffic to their Storenvy site. I had added in some DDR and music-game related imagery for comedic effect.
