You’re probably wondering, “How the hell is Dance Dance Revolution a category in a portfolio?” For a long time, I did a ton of volunteer videography, editing, and motion graphics work for the DDR community. From event recaps and interviews to social media content and promotional pieces, it became a great outlet for me to develop my independent production skills. Mistake On The Lake 5: Recap
Mistake on the Lake is one of the DDR community's biggest annual events. Every year, more than 500 players from around the world travel to Mentor, Ohio to compete in Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania IIDX, Sound Voltex, Drummania, GuitarFreaks, and other rhythm games. Sure, there are bragging rights on the line, but for many it's just as much about catching up with friends, making memories, and celebrating the hobby we love.

I sat down with Paranoia Boi and chatted with him about his dance game beginnings, his thoughts on the up^^beat tournament that happened in Denver, and the importance of DDR.
